Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Investigation: Benson Blvd.

On September 24, 2024, at 3:48 PM, APD Swing Shift Patrol Officers responded to the area of W. Benson Blvd. and Dawson Street for reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. Initial indications are that an adult female was crossing Benson Blvd. near Dawson Street when she was struck by a GMC Sierra travelling eastbound on Benson Blvd. The woman was transported to a local hospital by AFD Medics for what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained on scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.

All lanes of W. Benson Blvd. and Dawson Street are open.
