At 12:22 PM on January 27, 2023, an APD officer assigned to the School Resource Unit (SRO) was contacted by school staff regarding threats made by a Mirror Lake Middle School student.  Through the investigation it was determined the student had made threats to cause harm to people at the school.  The suspect student was contacted at the school which is located at 22901 Lake Hill Drive in Chugiak. The student’s parents were also contacted, and they responded to the school as well.  Charges for the student were forwarded to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

No weapons were found on school grounds.
