Update on 8/22/24:

The preliminary investigation has indicated this death is not criminal in nature and will not be classified as a homicide.

Original on 8/15/24:

At 8:50 PM on August 15, 2024, Anchorage Police responded to a greenbelt area near Lake Otis Parkway and Waldron Drive regarding a deceased adult lying outside.  Upon arrival officers made observations at the scene which is prompting a closer look at the circumstances surrounding the death.

The Crime Scene Team will be responding to process the site.  There will be a police presence in the area while that occurs.  There are no road closures.

The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
