Homicide; 1700-block Cache Drive

Incident Update at 7:00 p.m.

An adult male, who was believed to have physically assaulted his mother and adult sister inside of a residence on the 1700 block of Cache Drive, was found deceased inside the home around 6:00 p.m. by police. The suspect appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The mother, who was assaulted by the suspect, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital just before 4:00 p.m. The sister was admitted to a local hospital and treated for her injuries sustained in the assault. Police are in the process of notifying next of kin. 

This case remains under investigation and no further information is available.

Original Release on 2/6/15:

Just before 1:00 p.m. police dispatch received a call from a citizen reporting a domestic disturbance at a residence on the 1700 block of Cache Drive. It was reported to police that a female may have been assaulted by a male at the residence. Police responded to the scene, made entry into the home, and found an older adult female with what appeared to be severe assault injuries. She was removed from the residence and transported to a local hospital.  

Police are now attempting to contact the male assault suspect believed to be inside the residence; he may be armed. Police have shutdown Cache Road. Please avoid the area. Additional information will be released as it comes available.
