Homicide; 2600-block Spenard Road

Update on 1/22/16:

It’s been almost two years since 31-year-old Anchorage resident Aylett Hanson was killed in the Spenard area and today his murder remains unsolved. Anchorage police are asking anyone with information to come forward. On January 23, 2014, just before 3:30 p.m. Hanson was found dead inside of his vehicle that was parked in a business parking lot near the 2300 block of Spenard Road. Hanson appeared to have been fatally shot. Hanson was last seen on January 22, 2014, around 4:30 p.m. leaving his residence which was located a few blocks away from where he was found deceased.

Update on 1/28/15:

This month marks the one-year anniversary into the unsolved homicide of 31-year-old Aylett Hanson.

Anchorage Police are still investigating Hanson’s death and are asking for help from the public. Hanson was found dead inside his vehicle on January 23, 2014, in a parking lot located at the 2600 block of Spenard Road. Detectives are now releasing that Hanson died from a gunshot wound. Circumstances leading up to Hanson’s murder are unknown.

The Anchorage Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the death of 31-year-old Aylett Hanson, who was found dead inside his vehicle on January 23, 2014, in the parking lot of a Spenard business center.
