Homicide; 600-block W 34th Avenue

Update on 6/14/19:
Detectives have identified three suspects in this investigation. They are currently in-custody for a shooting investigation that occurred on 1/9/19 in the 2900 block of Arctic Boulevard.

The suspect’s names are Leone Leone Jr. (22 years old), Kenneth Ketah Jr. (38 years old) and Iosia Fiso (24 years old). They face multiple charges including Murder 2 and Kidnapping.

The victim was physically assaulted before his death and left in the apartment.

Update 2/13/19 12:45 p.m.:
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Timothy Wood (24 years old). He is a person of interest in this investigation. Detectives believe he has information about this crime and would like to speak with him.

Update 2/1/19 3:42 p.m.:
The Medical Examiner has determined the death to be a homicide as a result of trauma to the body. This now a homicide investigation.

The victim has been identified as Steven John (36 years old). Next of kin procedures have been completed.

The cause of death remains under investigation.

On 1/29/19 at approximately 4:15 a.m., Officers with the Patrol Division were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 600 block of West 34th Avenue in reference to a report of a deceased person inside one of the units that had been there for several days. The preliminary investigation discovered that a deceased adult male was inside the apartment. The death is suspicious in nature. Multiple people have been detained for questioning. Homicide Detectives have been called out to the scene and are processing the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
