Homicide; 9700-block Morningside Loop
Update on 1/20/16:
On January 4, 2016, 33-year-old Thomas Skeek Junior called APD and reported that his wife, 32-year-old Linda Skeek, was missing. According to Thomas, his wife left their home on foot on January 1, 2016, after the two got into a verbal argument and he hadn't seen her since.
On January 20, 2016, Anchorage Police served a search warrant on Linda and Thomas' home as well as on a vehicle. Afterwards Thomas was charged with Murder I, Murder II, and Tampering with Evidence in relation to Linda's disappearance.
This investigation is on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
Update on 1/15/16:
On January 7, 2016, Anchorage Police asked for the public’s help in locating Missing Person Linda Skeek. Linda has not yet been located, and since that time, police have received information that leads them to believe her disappearance is suspicious. To protect the integrity of the investigation, the specifics of that new information cannot be released publicly at this time. Anchorage Police are asking for the public's help in locating 32-year-old Linda Skeek. Linda was last seen at her home on Morningside Loop in south Anchorage on New Year's Day. Linda left the home on foot after getting into a verbal altercation with her husband. Linda has not been seen since.
According to Linda's family, Linda has stayed away for an entire weekend before, but she always returns home by Sunday night so that she may go to work on Monday morning. Police were contacted by her husband when she did not show up for work on Monday, January 4th.
Linda is 5'10" tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black coat, red vest, and red skirt. Anyone who knows of Linda's whereabouts is asked to call Police Dispatch at 786-8900 (press "0" to speak with an operator).
