Homicide; E 6th Avenue and Oklahoma Street

Update on 12/7/17:
Detectives are seeking three people of interest in this investigation (see attached photos).
 
These individuals were near 6th Avenue and Oklahoma Street at the time of the shooting. They were last seen walking on 6th Avenue towards Turpin Street. Detectives believe they are males in their late teens or early 20’s. Two of the males are wearing backpacks with one wearing red high-top shoes. The male without the backpack was wearing an orange hat.
 
Detectives believe these males have information to solve this crime.

Update 12/4/17:
The preliminary investigation has found there was a group of people in the area that got into an altercation. At some point, the victim was shot.
 
The person taken into custody for questioning was not arrested in this investigation. However, he wasn’t released because he had an outstanding warrant for probation violation. He was transported to jail. He’s been identified as Orion Lind (21 years old).
 
The victim has been identified as Brandon Irlmeier (20 years old).
 
This is now a homicide investigation.
 
This is not a random incident; it’s isolated.
 
Original on 12/2/17:
At 10:41pm APD received a call complaining of two men with guns at the 7000 block of Howard Ave. When officers responded they found one adult male dead from at least one gunshot wound at E. 6th and Oklahoma St.
 
One person from the scene was taken into police custody for questioning.
 
There is no suspect information to release at this time.
