Shooting Investigation on Borealis Street in Eagle River

At 12:53 AM on April 13, 2023, Anchorage Police responded to a residence on the 11300-block of Borealis Street in Eagle River regarding a shooting.  Upon arrival officers located the adult male victim who was shot at least once in the upper body.  He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries that he is expected to survive.  There was another adult in the home at the time of the shooting who was not injured.

Initial indications are that two individuals entered the house and then ultimately fled after the victim was shot.  The number of people who fired weapons, along with the motive behind the shooting, is still under investigation.  No charges have been filed.  At this time police believe this was an isolated targeted incident and not random.
