Thanks to a citizen REDDI report, Donald Gum was arrested for OUI, Refusal to Submit a Chemical Test, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

At 10:37PM on January 20, 2022 a citizen called APD dispatch to report a dangerous driver in a white Dodge Durango who was driving in the area of 1500 East 5th Avenue heading Northbound towards the Glenn Highway.  

Officers contacted 42-year-old Donald Gum in the driver seat of the white Dodge Durango located on the Glenn Highway Northbound near the McCarrey Street overpass . There was a strong odor of alcohol coming from Gum.
 
Officers performed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test on Gum, which he failed. Gum was arrested for Operating Under the Influence and was transported to the Anchorage Jail for processing. Gum also refused to provide a breath sample.
 
Gum was remanded at the Anchorage Jail for Operating Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit a Chemical Test, and Violation of Conditions of Release.
