At 2:40 AM on October 14, 2024, Anchorage Police Department Dispatch received a distress call from a Ford vehicle indicating it had been in a collision near the 6000-block of Bluebell Drive. Several minutes later, APD received a 9-1-1 call reporting a vehicle collision in the same area.  The caller, a male juvenile, reported that he was the driver, and a male juvenile passenger was pinned under the vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a Ford F350 truck upside down with a male juvenile pinned underneath the truck. Anchorage Fire Department (AFD) medics arrived and ultimately declared the male juvenile deceased at the scene.

Another juvenile passenger travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident was not injured. 

Charges were forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
