Update at 10:20 AM on 3/3/24:

Traffic investigators have determined the suspect driver involved in this morning’s fatal hit-and-run crash is 29-year-old Marsean L. Hadley.  Officers were conducting follow up on the case at a residence when Hadley arrived driving a vehicle.  While speaking with him, police noticed signs of impairment.  After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), the decision was made to charge Hadley with Driving under the Influence.

Hadley was transported to the Anchorage Correctional Complex for further processing.  Once there, Hadley provided a breath sample showing his breath alcohol content was more than one and a half times the legal limit.  Marsean Hadley was remanded on the charges of Manslaughter, DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Render Aid.

The victim will be identified once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.
