Our Team:

This team of professionals manages all external communications and outreach opportunities - from public safety messaging to social media and everything in between, with a hyper-focus on our relationship with the community.

The Community Relations Unit is behind every Tweet, Facebook post, and Instagram photo. They also spearhead the Citizen Academy, Youth Academy, community appearances, ride-a-long program, and works closely with Crime Stoppers.

Other things the CRU covers:

Citizen Academy:
Do you or someone you know want to learn more about the day-to-day operations of what a police officer goes through?  Then consider applying to be in the next Citizen Academy.

Crime Stoppers:

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number and Web Tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.
