Alejandro Andujar arrested in sexual assault investigation. Police believe there may be more victims.

Detectives with APD’s Special Victims Unit are investigating two attempted sexual assaults and believe there may be more victims. The suspect, who was unknown to the victims, attacked the victims during the day and attempted to sexually assault them. The first incident reported to APD occurred near Peterkin Ave and N. Bunn St. on February 14th, 2022. The second reported incident occurred near Elderberry Park on March 6th, 2022.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Alejandro Andujar, about 5’11” and weighing about 200 lbs. He was arrested on March 8, 2022 in connection with the two assaults. Alejandro is currently at the Anchorage jail on the following charges: two counts of Attempted Sexual Assault in the first degree, two counts of Sexual Assault in the second degree, one count of Robbery in the first degree, one count of Theft in the second degree, and two counts of Assault in the fourth degree. Alejandro is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The Anchorage Police Department is seeking the public’s help with any information regarding these assaults or any other incident that might have gone unreported.
