Arrest: 2300 Block Turnagain Street
Update 9:30 PM: On December 2, 2024, at 7:30 PM, APD officers were conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Northwood Drive and Spenard Road. During the stop, the driver eluded the officers and continued to drive his vehicle through surrounding neighborhoods. Officers once again contacted the vehicle near the 2300 block of Turnagain Street where the suspect rammed his vehicle into an APD patrol vehicle. The driver exited his vehicle and fled on foot. The APD K9 Unit tracked the suspect to a location, where officers established a perimeter. A drone confirmed the suspect's location, and officers took the suspect into custody without incident. The adult male suspect will face charges related to this incident.
The APD officer driving the Patrol vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Update 8:14 PM: Suspect is 30-year-old Black male last seen wearing checkered shirt with blue jeans. If seen, call 911.

Anchorage Police are conducting follow-up on an existing investigation at Loussac Dr. and Discovery Ct. An adult male suspect fled on foot and police are currently searching the area. A drone will be utilized during the search.
There will be a police presence in the area during this time.
