Assault Investigation on the 300-block of F Street

Update on 1/16/24:

Initial indications are that the assault occurred at the corner of W 5th Avenue and F Street.  APD has contacted the parties involved; there are no outstanding suspects.  Detectives have spoken to witnesses but are aware there are additional witnesses who have not yet communicated with police.  Those citizens are asked to call Detective Wisel at 907-786-2630 to let him know what they saw.

No charges have been filed; the investigation remains ongoing.

Update on 1/14/24 at 10:31 PM:

This is now being investigated as an assault.

At 8:29 PM on January 14, 2024, Anchorage Police Swing Shift officers responded to the 300-block of F Street regarding an assault.

An adult male victim was located outside and transported by AFD Medics to a local hospital for treatment of what are believed to be life threatening injuries.

The Crime Scene Team will be responding to process the scene.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding this incident, to include surveillance footage of the area, is asked to call Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or 907-786-8900 (option 0).

There is a large police presence near the 300-block of F Street for an ongoing investigation. Please avoid the area.

Depending on the situation, our response may require using a variety of tactics to include the drone.
