AST homicide investigation; 1700-block S Heather Meadows Loop

The Investigative Support Unit (ISU) assisted Alaska State Troopers (AST) last night in an on-going homicide investigation.

Around 5:30 p.m., ISU officers executed an arrest warrant on Paulette Kane in a parking lot in the 700 block of Northern Lights Blvd. Kane was inside a Ford Expedition along with Chalice Kesselring. Both were taken into custody, arrested and transported to jail.

Kane had an outstanding arrest warrant for the homicide of Weston Gladney.

Kesselring faces a charge of Hindering Prosecutor 1.

The Ford Expedition was impounded as evidence.

Around 7:30 p.m. in the area of 32nd Avenue and Wyoming Drive, ISU officers located and arrested Shawn Phillips. He was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for Tampering with Evidence in this homicide investigation.
