Charges Forwarded in Service High Threats Investigation

On February 8, 2023, a Service High School student made a threat on Snapchat to cause harm at the school.  More than one person reported the threat to school staff who contacted an APD officer assigned to the School Resource Unit (SRO).  An investigation was conducted and the student who posted the threat was identified.  The SRO contacted the student at the school and notified the student’s parent.  Charges for the student were forwarded to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

There is no indication that a weapon was brought onto school grounds.
