Charges Forwarded in Threats Investigation at Taku Elementary School

At 7:17 AM on February 12, 2024, Anchorage police officers assigned to the School Resource Unit (SROs) were notified that a Taku Elementary School Student had made threats to harm other students.  The threats were made via the social media platform Snapchat.

SROs initiated an investigation which included contacting the suspect student, and the student’s parents, at their home prior to school starting for the day.  Charges for the student were forwarded to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

If you see something, say something.  Anchorage Police are grateful for those who came forward to report the threats that had been made.
