Garrett Pamplin Arrested for Felony Warrants
At 4:54 PM on June 5, 2024, patrol officers, K9, and officers assigned to the Investigative Support Unit (ISU) were looking for 33-year-old Garrett W. Pamplin who had three felony warrants: 1) Fail to Appear on the original charges of Robbery II, Theft III, and Violate Conditions of Release; 2) Misconduct Involving a Weapon III and two counts of Assault I; and 3) Misconduct Involving a Weapon III, two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance V, Violate Conditions of Release, and Escape III.
Officers saw Pamplin walking in a parking lot in in the northeast corner of Duben Avenue and Muldoon Road. When Pamplin saw officers pull up behind him, Pamplin took off running. Multiple commands and K9 warnings were given, all of which went unheeded. K9 Ray was deployed; the K9 contacted Pamplin on his backside which allowed officers to take Pamplin into custody. After being treated for the bite at a local hospital, Pamplin was remanded at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on his three warrants. He was additionally charged with Resisting.
