Homicide; 4600-block E 4th Avenue

Update---11/23/20---10:15 a.m.:
The victim has been identified as Jared Ward (38 years old). Next of kin procedures have been completed. The trauma to his upper body has been determined to be from a gunshot that occurred in the 4600 block of East 4th Avenue.

On 11/20/20 around 6:30 p.m., officers with the Patrol Division responded to calls of shots fired in the area of Bliss Street and Pine Street.

Officers discovered an adult male deceased with trauma to the upper body.

There will be a large police presence in the area as the investigation continues. Please avoid the area. If you need to be there, please follow officer’s instructions.
