Homicide; 800-block Elm Street

Update at 9:40 a.m.

The victim in last night’s homicide has been identified as 29-year-old Ian Bobich. His next of kin have been notified. No arrests or charges have been made in the case.

Original Release at 12:06 a.m.:

Just before 11:00 p.m. Anchorage police dispatch received multiple calls from residents reporting shots heard near Elm Street and E Bluff Drive. Police responded to the area and located a male who had been shot outside of a residence on the 800 block of Elm Street. He was declared deceased at the scene. The death is being investigated as a homicide. No suspect is in custody and the victim has not been positively identified.
