Juvenile Arrested at Eagle River High School for school threat investigation

At 09:15 AM on April 08, 2022, an officer assigned to the Anchorage Police Department School Resource Unit (SRO) at Eagle River High School received a report by Eagle River High staff regarding a threatening message circulating on social media written by a student who spoke of bringing a weapon to school.  The SRO and day-shift patrol officers began their investigation which included speaking to both the suspect student and other students.

Charges were forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice. 

 There were no injuries reported at the school.
