Police Presence: 3400 block Peterkin Ave

UPDATE: 11:12 PM

At 9:14 PM on Nov. 4, 2024, APD Dispatch received a call regarding a disturbance involving a weapon at the 3400 block of Peterkin Avenue. It was reported that an adult male was threatened by an adult male neighbor with a sword and a gun.

Upon arrival, APD Swing Shift officers established a perimeter, and a Mobile Intervention Team (MIT) and a drone were deployed during the response.

The suspect has been detained, and there are no road closures.

There is a large police presence around 3400 block of PETERKIN AVE for an ongoing investigation. Please avoid the area. If you must be in the area, please follow officer instructions.
