LARGE POLICE PRESENCE: INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RD AND RUTAN PL

UPDATE 9:00 PM:

On Dec. 20, 2024 at about 7:37 PM APD officers responded to the 3800 block of Carleton Ave in reference to a disturbance with a weapon. Upon arrival officers found a suspect fleeing in a blue SUV; an officer utilized police vehicle tactics to disable the SUV near International Airport Rd and Rutan Pl.

NARRATIVE: There is a large police presence around the International Airport Rd and Rutan Pl. Please follow officers’ instructions if you are in the area.  If you do not need to be in the vicinity, please avoid it and seek alternative routes until further notice. Depending on the situation, our response may require using a variety of tactics and tools, to include the drone.
