STABBING INVESTIGATION: 3500-Blk E 42nd Av

UPDATE: At 8:40 PM on March 11, 2025, Anchorage Police responded to the 3500-block of E 42nd Av. in reference to a reported stabbing.  Initial indications are that two male adults had an altercation wherein the victim male adult suffered at least one stab would in the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers contacted the suspect in the residence who was also found to have injuries to his upper body. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Anthony Alexie, was detained and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Alexie was remanded at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on the charges of Attempted Murder, Assault 2, and Assault 3.

Anchorage Police believe they have contacted all involved parties. The motive for the incident, and the relationship between the parties involved, is under investigation.

Depending on the situation, our response may require using a variety of tactics and tools, to include the drone.
