One traffic stop yielded warrant arrests for three people

At 11:59 PM on March 10, 2022, a patrol mid-shift officer conducted a traffic stop at E 3rd Avenue and Flower Street on a Volkswagen Jetta with a burned-out headlight.  As soon as the Jetta came to a stop, both rear passenger doors opened, and an adult female and adult male exited and walked away.  The driver, who stayed at the scene, was identified as 36-year-old Scott F. Williams JR.  A computer check revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for domestic violence related assault charges.

Officers located the two passengers in an alley near Park Street and E 3rd Avenue.  The female was identified as 28-year-old Shelia B. A. Aguchak.  A computer check revealed she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for Violating Conditions of Release.  The adult male who was with Aguchak gave officers a name and date of birth that were not his own.  During the pat search, officers found information that allowed them to identify the male as 33-year-old James R. Nanalook.  It was discovered that Nanlook had three outstanding warrants; two felonies (for the original charges of Sexual Assault II and Coercion) and one misdemeanor (Fail to Register as a Sex Offender).

Shelia Aguchak was remanded at Hiland Correctional on her misdemeanor warrant.

James Nanlook was remanded at the Anchorage Jail on his warrants.  He was additionally charged with False Info.

Scott Williams was remanded at the Anchorage Jail on his warrant.
