Police Presence on the 600-block of E Fireweed Lane

Willie Isara turned himself in to police; he’s been taken into custody on his outstanding warrants.

Update at 8:30 AM on 7/22/24:

Initial indications are that 23-year-old Willie A. Isara physically assaulted an adult female and a juvenile; Isara had fled the location prior to officers responding.  Officers did search for Isara, to include a residence on the 600-block of E Fireweed Lane, but those attempts were unsuccessful.  Due to Isara’s actions yesterday evening, he now has a felony warrant for his arrest for three counts of Assault in the Second Degree, two counts of Assault in the Third Degree, and one count of Assault in the Fourth Degree.  This is a domestic violence related crime.

Willie Isara is 6’00” tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  In addition to the felony warrant, he also has an existing misdemeanor Fail to Appear warrant related to the original charge of Operating under the Influence.  Anyone with information regarding Isara’s whereabouts is asked to contact APD Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or 907-786-8900 (press “0”).  You may provide information anonymously online at www.AnchorageCrimeStoppers.com.

At 6:20 PM on July 21, 2024, Anchorage Police responded to reports of an assault involving non-life-threatening injuries.  There will be a large police presence on the 600-block of E Fireweed Lane during this time; a drone may be used during the investigation.

Please follow officers’ instructions if you are in the area.  If you do not need to be in the vicinity, please avoid it and seek alternative routes until further notice.

We ask the public and the media to refrain from posting/publishing photos and/or video of the scene until the situation is over. Showing tactical positions and movements in these types of situations can put the public and officers’ safety at risk.
