Suspicious Death Investigation; Greenland Drive closed between W 32nd and W 33rd Avenues

Update on 5/23/22:

It has been determined this death was not criminal in nature. It is not being investigated as a homicide.

Original on 5/19/22:

At 8:18 PM on May 19, 2022, Anchorage Police responded to an area near the tennis courts on W 32ndAvenue, near Minnesota Drive, regarding a deceased person.  Upon arrival officers located the adult male victim lying outside.  Officers made observations which have caused them to believe the death may be suspicious in nature.  The Crime Scene Team has responded to process the area.  Ultimately the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. 

 Greenland Drive will be closed between W 32nd and W 33rd Avenues while police work.  If you need to be in the area, please follow the directions of the on-scene officers.
