Threat Investigation at Clark Middle School

In the evening of August 15, 2024, Anchorage Police were advised of a threat made by a Clark Middle School student earlier that afternoon after disembarking from the school bus at the conclusion of the school day.  One student made statements about causing harm to students at the school the following day.  Those statements were overheard and reported to parents who contacted police.

Swing shift patrol officers investigated which included contacting the suspect student and parents at the student’s home.  Ultimately charges were forwarded to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

If you see something, say something.  We are beginning a new school year and it’s important we all continue working together to keep our schools and students safe.  APD is appreciative of the student who came forward and reported what they heard.
