ORIGINAL: On June 25, 2024, Anchorage Police responded to reports of an attempted sexual assault.  Initial indications are that at approximately 11:20 AM, an adult female’s vehicle broke down near the intersection of Northern Lights Boulevard and Wisconsin Street.  While standing outside her car, an adult male walked up to the driver, grabbed her, and physically assaulted her.  The victim was able to pull away; the male left the area on foot.

Police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Timothy L. Bogus-Erwin.  He now has a felony warrant for Attempted Sexual Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, and Indecent Exposure in the Second Degree.  He also has a misdemeanor warrant for Harassment related to a separate incident (APD Case 24-19512).

APD Special Victims Unit (SVU) Detectives have three asks.  The first is that if anyone witnessed the assault on June 25th, and they have not yet spoken to police, for them to please call Detective Thomas at 907-786-2628. 

Police believe Bogus-Erwin may have victimized others.  Detectives’ second ask is that if anyone believes they may have been assaulted, sexually assaulted, or otherwise inappropriately touched by Bogus-Erwin, to call Detective Thomas at the above listed number.

Bogus-Erwin is 6’03” tall, 215 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  The attached photo was taken in September 2023.
