Traffic Fatality Inbound Glenn Highway

Update on 7/17/23:

The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Linda Frazier.  Next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

Original on 7/14/23:

On July 14, 2023 at 6:23PM Anchorage Police Officers and medics with the Anchorage Fire department responded to the Glenn Highway inbound lanes near the scales in reference to a vehicle collision with injuries.

Initial indications are that a Ford Crown Victoria was traveling inbound on the Glenn Highway near the scales where it lost control and left the roadway. One female adult passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

Medics transported the female adult driver, a female adult passenger and a juvenile passenger to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Drivers should expect delays while traveling inbound on the Glenn Highway while investigators with the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) process the scene. The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation and no citations have been filed at this time.
