TRAFFIC ​INVESTIGATION​: E 15th Ave/Orca​ ​

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: ​March 2, 2025​ 02:35 AM

ROAD CLOSURES: ​E 15th Avenue ​ is closed between Nelchina and Lake Otis​ while investigators with the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) process the scene. Please use alternative routes. 

UPDATE: The roads have now reopened.

APD CASE: 25-6531 ​

NARRATIVE: At 02:35 AM on March 2, 2025, APD officers along with medics from the Anchorage Fire Department responded to E 15th Ave and Orca St for a report of a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.
