Traffic Investigation: E 32nd Avenue and Denali Street

At 2:18 PM on Oct. 15, 2024, APD officers assigned to Dayshift Patrol and medics with the Anchorage Fire Department (AFD) responded to the intersection of E 32nd Avenue and Denali Street in reference to a vehicle collision with injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a white GMC pickup was traveling southbound on Denali Street when a silver Lexus sedan emerged from a parking lot near the intersection of 32nd Avenue and Denali Street and collided with the GMC pickup.

Medics transported the driver of the Lexus to a local hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.  

The driver of the GMC pickup remained on scene and did not have any injuries.

The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation.
