Homicide; 200-block E 12th Avenue

Update:
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Terrance Paleka, Jr. (19 years old) on a charge of Murder 2. He was arrested this morning around 4:30 a.m. by officers with our partners at the Airport Police and Fire Department. He was on a flight from Hawaii. The suspect was transferred into APD custody for questioning by detectives.

He is believed to be the shooter in this investigation. Detectives believe he was inside a vehicle that was next to the victim’s vehicle when he shot her.

Detectives located and interviewed Falesavili J. Mataia who was inside the vehicle with the suspect. They also located and interviewed the other occupants of the vehicle. They were questioned and released.

Update on 2/20/19:
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating 38-year-old Falesavili J. Mataia. It is believed she may have information regarding the homicide of Salisa Loucks which occurred on E 12th Avenue on February 4, 2019.

Mataia is 5’09” tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1). To remain anonymous you may contact Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or online at www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.

Update on 2/6/19:
The victim has been identified as Salisa Loucks (30 years old). Next of kin procedures have been completed.

She was located inside a Jeep SUV in an alley in the 200 block of East 12th Avenue.

Detectives have determined this crime to be drug related.

On 2/4/19 around 11:05 p.m., Dispatch received a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Cordova Street. Officers with the Patrol Division found an adult female inside a vehicle shot in the upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect/suspects information to release at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.
