Homicide; 4200-block Mountain View Drive

The victim has been identified as Jenna DelKittie (23 years old).

UPDATE on 11/3/18:
One of the victims of the October 28th shooting in Mountain View died at the hospital this morning. This incident is now being investigated as a homicide. The victim's identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

ORIGINAL:
On 10/28/18 around 2:40 a.m., Officers with the Patrol Division were dispatched to the 4200 block of Mountain View Drive in reference to a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two adult females outside a residence with gunshot wounds to the upper body. Both victims were transported to a local hospital — one with life threatening injuries and the other with non-life threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation found that the victims were outside the residence when an unidentified suspect fired multiple rounds in their direction from a dark-colored sedan; the suspect quickly fled the scene shortly thereafter. Officers have cause to believe that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
