Homicide; Bean's Cafe at 1101 E 3rd Avenue

Update on 6/29/17:

At 4:15 PM, on Wednesday, June 28th, APD received reports of a stabbing in the 300 block of East 4th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male stabbed multiple times in the torso. He was declared dead at the scene. No motive has been determined and no arrests have been made. The search continues for the suspect; there is no description to release at this time.
 
Investigators are still looking for witnesses.
 
There is no information at this time linking this investigation to the June 8th, 2017 homicide investigation in the 1100 block of East 3rd Avenue.

24-year-old Kyle A. Rea was killed in last Thursday’s stabbing homicide on E 3rd Avenue. 

Update on 6/9/17:

Yesterday, June 8, 2017, APD responded to the area of Bean’s Cafe to investigate a stabbing.  The victim has succumbed to his injuries; his death is now being investigated as a homicide.

APD is asking for any assistance in locating a person of interest related to the homicide.  The individual is described as an Alaska Native male, late 20's or early 30's, 6'0-6'2 tall, weighing 210-225 pounds, with short black hair and a slight mustache.  Witnesses have reported that the individual in question had changed his clothing shortly after the incident.

At 7:50 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2017, APD responded to 1101 E 3rd Avenue regarding reports of a stabbing.  An adult male was stabbed outside on the sidewalk.  He was transported to the hospital where he was declared deceased a short time later.

Witnesses have been transported to APD for questioning.  There have been no arrests in this case.  More information will be released once details are confirmed.
