The adult male victim died as a result of trauma to the body.

Update on 5/3/19 at 2:17 a.m.:
On 5/3/19 at approximately 1:12 a.m., Officers with the Patrol Division responded to the area of Debarr Road and Patterson Street in reference to a report of an unconscious adult male.

The preliminary investigation found that an adult male was laying face down on a pedestrian walkway near a bus stop in the area with signs of trauma to the body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the death is considered suspicious in nature. APD's Crime Scene Team will be on scene investigating. One person has been detained for questioning.

The eastbound lane of Debarr Road will remain closed until further notice. Please seek alternative routes.
