Homicide/Suicide Investigation

Update on 3/29/23:

The deceased adult female has been identified as 29-year-old Anee Vue.  Next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

Original on 3/28/23:

At 10:36 AM on March 28, 2023, Anchorage Police Dispatch received a call from an adult female who stated she was going to cause harm to herself.  Officers located the woman, who was inside her vehicle, in the parking lot at 3074 Mountain View Drive.  Just after the first officer arrived, the woman injured herself utilizing a firearm; the 3-year-old male in the car with her was also injured. 

Officers performed life-saving measures on the victims until medics arrived and took over.  They were transported to hospitals where they were each declared deceased a short time later.

Crime Scene is responding to process the area.  There are no major road closures.

The child’s name will not be released due to his age and being a domestic violence victim.
