Speed Detail Traffic Stop Resulted in OUI Arrest for Trevor Lund
At 3:04 PM on June 28, 2024, an Impaired Driving Enforcement Unit (IDEU) Officer, working a Glenn Highway speed enforcement detail, conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 GMC pickup on the highway near Ship Creek. The southbound truck was being driven 81 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. While conversing with 53-year-old Trevor A. Lund the officer noticed signs of impairment. After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) the decision was made to charge Lund with Operating under the Influence.
Once they arrived at the jail, Lund provided a breath sample showing his breath alcohol content was more than two times the legal limit. Trevor Lund was remanded at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on the charge of OUI.
The IDEU officer found a partially consumed alcoholic beverage inside the truck. Lund was additionally cited for Open Container and Speeding.
