Homicide; 3100-block Cheechako Street

Update on 11/30/21:
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Alexandra Briseno. Next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

Original on 11/26/21:
At 5:10 AM on November 26, 2021, Anchorage Police responded to a residential neighborhood on the 3100-block of Cheechako Street regarding reports of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located two victims. The adult female victim was declared deceased at the scene. The adult male victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There have been no arrests at this time. Anyone with information regarding this crime, to include those with surveillance footage of the area, is asked to call Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1).

The Crime Scene team is responding to process the area. Cheechako Street is closed between 31st and 32nd Avenues.
