Homicide; 4300-block Wisconsin Street

Update on 11/24/15:

Dominick Lozano has been taken into custody and remanded at the Anchorage Jail on his warrant.

Update on 10/18/15:

Anchorage Police are asking the public for help in locating Dominick Lozano, 29, who is wanted in connection with a 2015 Homicide.

On November 23, 2015, Anchorage Police responded to a shooting at a residence on the 4300 block of Wisconsin Street.  The investigation revealed that Dominick Lozano and his friend, Radford Hepa entered Lozano’s former residence, without consent, to gather personal belongings and to confront Shannon Perkins, who was now dating Lozano’s former girlfriend.  Perkins knew Lozano as he had been assaulted by him in the past.  Perkins was backed into the corner of a bedroom by Hepa and Lozano and was not allowed to leave.  As the two men advanced on Perkins, Perkins grabbed a gun and fired toward them, striking them both.  Lozano and Hepa were transported to local hospitals where Hepa succumbed to his injuries; Lozana recovered.

Dominick Lozano has been charged with Manslaughter, Burglary and Assault; he is currently not in custody.

Update at 9:30 a.m. on 11/24/15:

Anchorage police continue to investigate a shooting at a residence on the 4300 block of Wisconsin Street last night. Two gunshot wound victims were taken to a local hospital. One of them was pronounced deceased at the hospital a few hours after the incident. The other victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. No one has been charged in the shooting. Police continue to investigate the event. If anyone has additional information, please contact Anchorage Police at 786-8900, and press “0” to speak with a dispatcher. Additional information will be released as it comes available. 

Original Release on 11/23/15:

Anchorage Police responded to a double shooting that occurred at 5:19 PM this evening in West Anchorage.

 Two men were shot when they confronted a male resident at his home, located at the 4300 block of Wisconsin Street.  According to witnesses, all three men knew one another.

The two victims of the shooting were both transported to local hospitals with gunshot wounds.  Their condition is currently unknown.  The shooter is in custody being interviewed by detectives. The reason for the dispute is under investigation.  No charges have been filed at this time.

No additional information will be released this evening as the investigation continues.
