The Pathway Home Abuse Investigation – Victims Being Sought

In April 2024, Anchorage Police Department (APD) detectives began investigating an abuse claim at The Pathway Home, a long-term residential treatment program that serves adolescents aged 13 to 18 from all 50 states. Detectives are worried that there might be victims from Alaska and other states who have not yet reported their experiences.

If you believe that you were a victim of abuse while staying at The Pathway Home, or if you know someone who may have been, please contact APD Detective Vrablik at George.Vrablik@anchorageak.gov or call 907-786-8795. Additionally, you can make reports through the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General’s (HHS-OIG) toll-free hotline at 1-855-SAFE-IHS (1-855-723-3447). The hotline is available for reporting any form of child abuse, sexual abuse, or staff-related abuse.

The investigation remains ongoing; no charges have been filed.
